Why Do I Need a
BSN Degree?

You don’t need a bachelor’s degree to become an RN, but BSN-trained nurses generally have higher salaries, management positions, and leadership roles. According to a 2022 survey conducted by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), nearly 28% of employers mandate that their new recruits possess a Bachelor’s degree while 72% expressed a strong preference for nurses who have obtained baccalaureate-level education.3

Although the class lectures, skills labs, and simulation labs provided us with the tools to succeed in each clinical rotation, I feel the trust and confidence we had in our instructors is what positively impacted my performance in the field.
